Robert and Joseph Crotteau would have attended the reunion in 2008 if they survived the Rice Lake Hunting shootout. The family still grieves the death of the two in the tragic incident that took away six lives. We really miss Robert and Joseph this time and every time. My thoughts are always with them. It is hard to forget them, and I understand the amount of pain their family must be undergoing. I would like to say the duo will be remembered in our prayers and will remain fresh in our thoughts for years to come. I would like their families to pray to the Almighty for strength and support.
Words are not enough to express my agony, and sorry is just a small word to render to the bereaved family. May God bless their family members with strength and faith to overcome this loss and stay connected to their roots. The senseless act of heinous crime has left Rice Lake residents with heavy heart. There is sure no replacement for the six lovely people who died in this shootout. My heart goes out to their families and all we can say that we are always with them as a son, daughter, father, and friend.
I would like to register my sincere sympathies to the family members of the deceased. The lives of a few good people could have been protected but now that it has happened all we can do is give our love, prayers, support and kindness to the family of the deceased. At no point will the community stop supporting the family members of those mercilessly killed. Remember at any point in time that we are here as pillars of support and you can approach us anytime. Rice Lake community is like a family and we strive to uphold values in our society. This heinous act has left our family, shattered and speechless. But we have gathered our wits and have fought for justice. For those who believe in God, the death is for the body and not the soul. Their souls will remain with us forever guiding us and showing us the right path.
